Thiruvankulam is a suburb of the city of Kochi, Kerala, India famous for many lakes and canals. It is a part of Tripunithura municipality and Kochi metropolitan area. Tripunithura is a prominent historical and residential region in the city of Kochi.
The national highway NH49 which connects Kochi and Madurai passes through Thiruvankulam. It is a major fork junction on the highway from Kochi, going east towards Muvattupuzha and south towards Kottayam.
